  • Apple's IPhone War With Google Is Just Beginning

Apple's iPhone war against Google Android was the big story in tech last year, with Android growing like a weed to beat Apple in U.S. market share. But in reality, we haven't actually seen a real competition between the iPhone and Android yet. Not within the major carriers, at least.

  • What If Microsoft Had Invented The IPhone

It's worth imagining for a moment what would have happened if Microsoft had never gotten distracted by Google's search business (or AOL or Yahoo's ISP and ad businesses) and, instead, focused all that money and effort on developing the new markets that Apple now owns – personal connected devices (iPods), smartphones (iPhones), and tablets (iPads.)

  • Samsung Focus Having MicroSD Issues, AT&T Not Installing Cards In-store

The Samsung Focus's microSD slot has always been an odd little blip on the spec sheet, since it's only kinda-sorta supported by Windows Phone 7, and now it looks like it's causing more trouble than it's worth: Paul Thurrot says AT&T's telling employees not to install anything in the slot because of

  • Average Monthly Phone Bill

The iPhone came in a surprising fourth here, possibly because it's only offered on one carrier so there aren't any aberrant deals affecting the average. I can't read much more into it, though. My eyes are too blurry with tears for the poor souls paying that much for WinMo every month.
